Histopathological Changes on the Abdominal Organs by Chest X-irradiation

Abstract
|
|
|
The author, by conducting deep irradiation of x-ray (300r-900r) upon a locale of chest in rabbits, has observed the histo-pathological changes that took places on the irradiated organs as well as the adjacent organs that have not been irradiated and came to the following conclusions.
1. The most outstanding changes have been observed on lung and these are the atrophy of peribronchial lymph follicle and thickening of the small vessel walls.
2. Next io lung, the changes on spleen have been obvious and characteristic change of this was the atrophy of lymph follicle.
3. Non specific changes of mild degree such as clnudy swelling have been observed on liver and Kidney.
4. It is considered that further experiment on the above mentioned changes in relationship with the amoung of X-ray irradiation and progress of time is requires.
